It's hot

Now I know that I am from Texas and I shouldn't be complaining about the heat, but take a few things into account with me.

1)The ice storms in Texas aren't that bad, we just don't have the right tools to deal with them.

2) Same thing applies here except the opposite way. Nobody has AC.

3) We live on the second floor of a condo with a flat roof (that's black). I have stopped running the dryer. It's not so bad until 3:00 and then it doesn't really cool down until about 9.

4) In Texas, if you walk into a Starbucks, you instantly wish you were back outside, because it is so cold (esp the one at Frankfurt and Preston. I think a guy in a wool suit works in the back.)

5) I am not so sure the lone Starbucks here even has an AC. It wasn't on when I was there.

6) So we flee our home in the late afternoon and go where there is AC. We are limited to Target, Boarders, and Best Buy. The problem is, we then tend to spend money. A few dollars here and there, but when you go to that store every day, it adds up.

7) I never had problems with my car overheating in Texas because it's flat. Here, whenever we go up a mountain, our Durango threatens to overheat. In fact, we were driving around the bison range with the HEAT ON when it was already 100 degrees outside to cool down the car.
