For those of you who know me in real life, you know that I am not the type to buy DVDs very often. Most of the 15 or so that I own are gifts. However, I have decided to buy a documentary that I watched yesterday. "The Conscientious Objector" a film about a WWII medic, Desmond Doss, who believed it is against his religion to kill, but chose to stay in the army and help the wounded. For his bravery in the Pacific he was awarded the Medal of Honor. (They don't give those out for just anything, most of the time you have to die in order to get it.)
www.desmonddoss.com Take a look around and read his story, although what is on the website is not near the story presented on the film. I have to warn you, I bawled my way through this film.
